It runs quietly in the background to handle smooth zooming interactions via keybinds, and includes miructl—a platform-agnostic companion CLI for seamlessly toggling modes on the fly.
Beyond standard scaling, miru features a dedicated spotlight mode that highlights your cursor while dimming the surrounding area for a distraction-free, focused viewpoint. Fully customizable via a TOML configuration file, you can fine-tune parameters such as your preferred zoom factor, zoom step, spotlight radius, and dimming intensity to suit your workflow. It also has an annotation mode which allows users to draw shapes like rectangles, ellipses, circles and even type text.

and writes the PDF bytes itself: no browser, TeX installation, Pandoc or
runtime to install. The Linux download is 727 KB (852 KB for Windows) and the
binary needs only libc; the static build needs nothing at all.

Under a millisecond. A note with a formula, a Mermaid flowchart and
highlighted code goes from Markdown to PDF in 0.66 ms, start to exit, as a
fresh process of the static Linux build with 3.5 MiB of peak memory
(hyperfine, 2,000 runs; the screenshot). A running process (
--serve
,

--batch
) exports each further document in 0.16 ms, and one batch writes
eight documents with 100 pages in 5 ms.

The longer
tester.md
(Unicode text, tables, code, footnotes, formulas) takes
1.34 ms, where Pandoc + Typst took 357 ms, md-to-pdf (Chromium) 1,821 ms and
Pandoc + XeLaTeX 2,147 ms: RayoMD 5.2.5 on an AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4650GE,
2026-10-20, comparing time to a finished PDF, not identical output.

GitHub Markdown: tables, task lists, footnotes, alerts, and bookmarks and

#anchor
links from headings

TeX math typeset natively in embedded fonts; code coloured as on GitHub in
29 languages

Mermaid flowcharts, sequence diagrams and pie charts drawn as vectors; PNG,
JPEG and SVG images

Tables of contents, numbered headings, page numbers, page sizes, and themes
with fonts, colours, headers, footers and a cover

Books from an mdBook or GitBook
SUMMARY.md
or a folder; Obsidian vaults
with callouts, wiki links and embedded notes

Whole folders on up to 64 threads with a JSON Lines report,
--stdin
, and
a warm
--serve
mode

PDF/A-3b archives and tagged PDF/UA-1, validated with veraPDF; optional
reversible PDFs that carry the exact Markdown source

It renders a Markdown subset, not everything Pandoc does: no HTML/CSS layout
or LaTeX packages, and unsupported input degrades to readable text instead of
failing the export. A desktop app,
RayoMD GUI, shows the real PDF as
you type.

Real-time network diagnostics with latency, jitter, gateway/WAN context, TCP probes, and multi-target monitoring.

sping is a modern, cross-platform alternative to traditional ping, built in Rust to make network troubleshooting faster, clearer, and more intuitive.

Instead of simply reporting packet replies, sping interprets network context to help identify whether connectivity problems originate from your local network, gateway, internet connection, or destination.

Its interactive terminal interface provides live latency graphs, jitter and packet loss measurements, adaptive spike detection, quality scores, connection trends, and outage tracking.

Key features include:

Real-time ICMP and TCP connectivity monitoring

Automatic gateway and WAN reachability checks

Multi-target monitoring in a single terminal dashboard

Latency, jitter, packet loss, and quality scoring

Automatic diagnostic findings based on network context

Batch monitoring and structured JSON output for automation

IPv4 and IPv6 support

Native support for Linux, macOS, and Windows

Lightweight, fast, open source, and designed for developers, sysadmins, network engineers, and homelab enthusiasts.

No cloud services, accounts, or background daemons required.

One command. More answers.

Quotes and charts work without an account through Yahoo. Finnhub, Alpaca and Tiingo are optional providers with their own keys. The News, Insider, Earnings and Calendar views require a free AlphAI API key; the hosted analysis service is separate from the MIT-licensed terminal client.
Includes keyboard navigation, configurable themes, moving averages, RSI, volume charts, and one-shot quote output in text or JSON for scripts.

ARP, DNS, mDNS/Bonjour, NetBIOS and ICMP each know a different part of the picture, and you can watch each one answer as it runs.

Navigation, cookie banners, scripts and inline SVG are stripped, code blocks keep their language hint, and links come back absolute with tracking parameters removed. A PDF with selectable text comes back page by page. Several URLs passed in one call are fetched concurrently, and
--summary
returns just the metadata and a word count, which is usually enough to decide whether the body is worth pulling at all.

What separates it from piping curl into a converter is that it tells you what actually happened. Every fetch reports a verdict: real content, a thin shell, a page that needs scripting, or a commercial bot wall. It starts with a plain HTTP fetch and escalates to a real browser only where that is measured to help, so the slow path costs you seconds only when it buys something. A page behind DataDome is reported as blocked rather than quietly handed back as nothing, which means you can say so instead of guessing why the result was empty.

Claude Code, Codex, Kimi Code, OpenCode, Qwen Code or a plain shell all work. The preview pane is a real embedded terminal rather than a snapshot, so you can watch a session work and type into it without leaving the picker.

Tmux is the source of truth. Bosun takes push notifications from tmux control mode instead of keeping its own database, so two copies running at once read the same server and cannot disagree. It runs its sessions on a dedicated
tmux -L bosun
socket, which keeps your other tmux state untouched and keeps Claude Code's macOS Keychain auth lineage intact through the process tree, and it writes its status line per session rather than globally. Fifteen themes ship with it, ten dark and five light, switched live with
t
.
